A home of our own — built by many hands.
For years, events were held in rented halls scattered across the city. This month, that changed with the opening of the community's first permanent centre.
The centre features a main hall, classrooms for the tutoring and language programmes, a small library and a kitchen for cultural events. Every element was funded by member contributions and built partly by volunteer labour.
It will serve as the beating heart of community life for generations to come.
